AsyncDisplayKit developers are deeply passionate about building fast, scalable, and polished apps — and strive to discover elegant, automatic solutions to UI engineering challenges.

The event is open to all developers, whether you're developing an ASDK app or haven't heard of the framework before.

Presentations from Scott Goodson and Garrett Moon will discuss some of the most challenging aspects of building modern iOS apps, and then share the most elegant solutions that our community has come up with.

Goodson

Scott is an original author of ASDK and, most recently, a driving force behind making Pinterest's design vision a reality with the recent rewrite of their iOS app.

Previously, Scott managed the Facebook Paper and Instagram iOS engineering teams, and helped lead the native code rewrite of the core Facebook iOS app. He also spent four years at Apple where he was one of the first ten engineers to work on iPhone OS 1.0, and developed apps like Stocks and Calculator.

Garrett

Moon

Garrett leads the frameworks team that

works on AsyncDisplayKit. The majority of the AsyncDisplayKit 2.0 features were developed at Pinterest for their iOS app rewrite.

Garrett is also the author of PINRemoteImage, a threadsafe, performant, feature rich image fetcher, and PINCache, a non-deadlocking fork of TMCache. Both are used as the backing store for ASNetworkImageNode
